Of Dr. Susan Appleberry Widick
INDEPENDENCE, MO (July 1, 2007) -- Melynda Marchael Meredith, DDS, has joined the dental office of Susan Appleberry Widick, DDS, PC. Dr. Meredith will practice alongside Dr. Widick in the general family dentistry practice.
A lifelong Independence resident and Truman High School graduate, Dr. Meredith earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2007. While attending dental school at UMKC, Dr. Meredith often worked as a chairside assistant for Dr. Widick in preparation for one day joining the practice. Dr. Meredith earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
“I’m very excited to have Dr. Meredith join our team, and to help her build her practice in the same manner I did,” Dr. Widick says. “While she’s building her own practice here, she’ll also allow us to expand our office hours to include more evening and weekend appointments. We now have more resources available to meet the dental health needs of our patients.”
Dr. Widick established her dental practice in Independence in 1993. A graduate of Truman High School, she attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and UMKC’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Widick is actively involved with youth programs in Independence, having served on the Youth Friend's advisory board with the Independence School District and the Board of Directors for St. Mary's High School. She is a member of the Independence Chamber of Commerce, the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society.
