Dr. Susan Widick
Susan Appleberry Widick is a lifelong Independence resident, graduating from Truman High School in 1986. She performed her undergraduate work at the University of Missouri, then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. While at UMKC, Dr. Widick was senior class president and an instructor in the school’s dental occlusion laboratory.
After graduating from UMKC in 1993 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Widick enjoyed two successful years as an associate with Dr. Fred Knapp. In 1995, Dr. Widick established her own practice at I-70 and Noland Rd. in Independence.
Dr. Widick is a member of the American Dental Association; Missouri Dental Association; Greater Kansas City Dental Society; Independence Chamber of Commerce; Delta Gamma Social Sorority Alumnae Association; and Lee’s Summit Christian Church.
A resident of Lee’s Summit, Dr. Widick has two daughters who attended school in the Blue Springs School District. She is actively involved with youth programs in Independence, having served on the Youth Friend’s advisory board with the Independence School District; on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s High School; and frequently shares dental health tips with area schools. She is regularly invited to discuss career opportunities in the health-care industry with area students.
